Lyudmila Narusova (born 1951) is a Russian politician, academic, and public figure. A graduate of Leningrad State University, she began her career as a historian and lecturer before entering politics. Narusova became widely recognized as the widow of Anatoly Sobchak, the reformist mayor of St. Petersburg and mentor to Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev. She later served as a member of the State Duma and the Federation Council, where she advocated for cultural, educational, and social issues. Known for her independent views and critical stance on certain government policies, Lyudmila Narusova remains an influential voice in Russian political life.
