Li Qiang Biography
born in July 1959 in Zhejiang Province, is a senior Chinese politician and a close ally of President Xi Jinping. He worked in various provincial leadership roles, including as Party Secretary of Jiangsu and later of Shanghai, where he oversaw China’s financial hub.
In March 2023, Li Qiang was appointed as Premier of the People’s Republic of China, becoming the country’s second-highest official. As Premier, he is responsible for China’s economic policies, development strategies, and government administration.
