KÅ_ki Hirota Biography (1878–1948) was a Japanese diplomat and politician who served as Prime Minister of Japan from 1936 to 1937. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was Foreign Minister, where he promoted closer ties with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy.

During his premiership, he pursued militaristic and expansionist policies, reflecting Japan’s aggressive stance in Asia. After World War II, Hirota was tried by the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, found guilty of war crimes, and executed in 1948.
