Hassan Rouhani Biography (born November 12, 1948, in Sorkheh, Iran) is an Iranian politician, lawyer, and former diplomat who served as the 7th President of Iran from 2013 to 2021.
Rouhani played a key role in Iran’s nuclear negotiations and was instrumental in the signing of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), which improved relations with world powers. He also served as Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council from 1989 to 2005 and was involved in shaping Iran’s foreign policy.
During his presidency, Rouhani focused on economic reforms and international diplomacy, but faced challenges due to domestic issues and the U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear deal in 2018.
