Han Zheng Biography
born in April 1954 in Shanghai, is a senior Chinese politician who has held several top leadership roles. He rose through the ranks in Shanghai, serving as Mayor (2003–2012) and later as the city’s Party Secretary, gaining a reputation as an experienced administrator.
In 2017, he joined the Politburo Standing Committee, China’s top decision-making body, and served as Vice Premier of the State Council, overseeing economic and financial affairs. In March 2023, Han Zheng was appointed Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, making him one of the country’s key state leaders.
