Dmitry Kozak (born 7 November 1958) is a Russian politician and lawyer who has held several key government positions. A close ally of President Vladimir Putin, he served as Deputy Prime Minister of Russia from 2008 to 2020, overseeing regional development, infrastructure, and preparations for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. In 2020, Kozak was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, where he played a significant role in managing relations with Ukraine and other post-Soviet states. He is recognized for his administrative skills, loyalty to Putin, and influence in Russian domestic and foreign policy.
