George Washington Biography
(1732–1799) was an American military leader, statesman, and the first President of the United States, serving from 1789 to 1797. He led the Continental Army to victory during the American Revolutionary War and presided over the Constitutional Convention of 1787. Washington is known as the “Father of His Country” for his role in founding the United States and establishing the principles of the presidency.
