Shahbaz Taseer (born 1972) is a Pakistani businessman, politician, and social activist. He is the son of Salman Taseer, former Governor of Punjab. Shahbaz Taseer gained national and international attention after being kidnapped by militants in 2011 and held in captivity for over four years before his release in 2016. Following his ordeal, he has been involved in human rights advocacy, promoting education, and supporting social initiatives in Pakistan. Though primarily known for his family background, his personal experiences have shaped his public role as a voice against extremism and for social development.
