Galina Karelova (born 23 June 1950) is a Russian politician and public servant. She has been serving as a senator representing Volgograd Oblast in the Federation Council of Russia since 2014. Earlier in her career, she was a deputy in the State Duma and also held senior positions in Russia’s Ministry of Labour and Social Development. Karelova is known for her work on social policy, family affairs, and legislation aimed at supporting children, women, and pensioners. Throughout her career, she has played an active role in shaping Russia’s social development policies and remains a prominent figure in Russian politics.
