Li Xi Biography
born in October 1956 in Gansu Province, is a senior Chinese politician and a close ally of President Xi Jinping. He has held major leadership positions in several provinces, including as Party Secretary of Liaoning and later of Guangdong, one of China’s most important economic regions.
In October 2022, Li Xi was appointed to the Politburo Standing Committee, the top decision-making body of the Communist Party of China, and became head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the nation’s top anti-corruption watchdog
