Jiang Zemin Biography

(1926–2022) was a Chinese politician who served as the President of China from 1993 to 2003 and as General Secretary of the Communist Party from 1989 to 2002. He rose to power after the Tiananmen Square protests, leading China during a period of rapid economic growth and globalization.

Jiang promoted the “Three Represents” theory, expanding the Party’s role to include entrepreneurs and new social groups. Under his leadership, China entered the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001, marking a major step in its integration with the global economy.
